Dear Members,
We're quickly approaching the 100,000 member mark. Thank you! I've had a great time answering all of your questions, and I hope you are all having fun with Slideroll.
Now, I'd like to ask all of you a couple of little questions, and I hope you'll take a second to give me some great feedback.
Here goes...
1. Are there any features that you'd like to see added to Slideroll?
2. Is there any aspect of the Slideroll experience that you think could be improved or find confusing?
Thanks! I'll be taking your suggestions and ideas to heart so that Slideroll can become even better!
Best regards, -Geoff

Hi Geoff, I'd love to see an online voice narration tool where, once your slideshow is ready to roll, you could voice narrate through the web interface in real time. Slideroll is really really good right now, and adding this would make it great! Thanks, Danny

I honestly love slideroll!! 2 thumbs up in my book! I can't really think of any right now, but if I do I'll post back. But I do like Danny's suggestion about the voice narration! That would be fun :o)

I am really enjoying slideroll. A couple of things...To be a ble to download my own songs in the slide shows would be great. Also, to be able to have more control over the picture. Like being able to slowly zoom in on the photo as it is showing & being able to show vertical & hoizontal. Just a quick question...are we able to burn to disc to so I can watch it on my T.V? Thanks-Melissa :)

O'ya can we have more photo space? I would use 500 photos EZ. or if I delete the photos in My Photos can you still view them on the slide shows?

Melissa,
Oh, you can zoom and pan on images... click the IN and OUT buttons under the slide previews in the creator (the left-hand image).
ZOOMING AND PANNING -------------------
Clicking IN, then ZOOM, then dragging on an image allows you to set the zoom level when the image comes IN to the frame.
Clicking OUT, then ZOOM, then dragging on an image allows you to set the zoom level when the image goes OUT of the frame.
It's the same thing for panning an image, except you click PAN instead of ZOOM.
MUSIC: ------
I would LOVE to be able to allow users to upload their own music, however copyright law prevents this.
MORE PHOTOS: ------------
I'm working on this! I'm upgrading these numbers very soon! (UPDATE: The photo quota has been upgraded from 500 to 5000!!)
Thanks! -Geoff

Melissa,
Sorry, you can't do that yet. I hope to add video conversion in the future! (UPDATE: Yes, you can do this with Slideroll Videomaker)
Thanks, Geoff

I'd love to have the capacity to get the code for the gallery view; I just spent a day building a gallery view slide show to put on my photography site but there isn't an option for getting that code. I've been using normal slide shows, but would like the gallery view option so my visitors can scroll image-by-image. Thanks.

John,
The gallery view isn't embeddable currently, but the gallery view is included in the download if you are a Pro member.
Thanks! Geoff

I need to be able to delete multiple pictures at once. When I am cleaning out my photos in the file that I no longer use, I can only delete one picture at a time, which can take a lot of time and clincking.

Geoff, When you delete the photos from the timeline, they do not leave the library, that is where you have to delete them one at a time. Pls advise. Poppajohn

Poppajohn,
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that deleting photos from the timeline doesn't work for you, so you had to delete them one at a time? I just tried it myself and it works for me.

Feature request;
Font options, size & style....
Maybe embed video too?
LOVE THE PRODUCT. As a photographer, it is the answer to my presentation woes. There hasn't been anyone that couldn't view these properly, and that's very important!

Ability to have a Opening/Closing slide that presents if you don't want a loop.
If you look at the current slides http://irvinephotography.com you'll see that it starts off good, and winds up with a big blank area since I don't want it to loop. If it could show some kind of graphic (like the first slide maybe) at the finish that would be neat.
Alternatively, if I could specify an option to play once with the music, then loop without music. It's awesome to start with, but if you stay on the page for more than one song loop you want to kill yourself.

Vindog,
Great ideas. You can set the fade-out time to 0, and the last slide will remain up. Just click the "Settings" button in the creator, and then type 0 in the field that reads "Fade Out Time". You will need to republish to see the change.
Good idea about the looping, too. I'll put it on my list.
Best regards, Geoff

My feature request would be to add a hyperlink to each picture in a slideshow.
So if there are 5 pics then the user has the ability to add 5 hyperlinks
also another feature request https://slideroll.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=329
******EDIT*********** Just first one regarding hyperlink has already been already answered in https://slideroll.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=319 **********************

Any chance that you will write a version of Sliderollvideomaker for Mac? I would be cut out of important Pro features if I subscribed---and everybody knows we Mac people are very creative ;-)

i would like to see some sort of 'credits' like at the end of films... or real videos also being added to slidshows, or able to have a clip go from colour and slower turn into a black and white image... maybe also, able to put in our own logo, that shows up on all our slids, like you see the 'slideroll' logo, but also able to add your own logo
