I have just a comment, I think it is great how you take off the slideroll logo off in member status videos. Please keep that going. It works perfect for my business. Slideroll is great!!!! no complaints or changes needed

Can you post the code in an email so when someone opens up an email the video starts playing.
Thanks, Nick

Geoff, just before a slideshow is loaded, that is a legend in the lower left for the percent loaded of the movie, and other legend in the center with the name of the slide show. My quenstion to you, is if it's possible to bypass this load screen and go right to the first slide of the presentation (i.e. showing the presentation only when it's fully loaded - response.flush in asp just won't do it)...
thnks!

Hi!
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately there's currently no way to do that, no.

I think SlideRoll is awesome. Here is my two cents... I like how you can configure how round you want the corners, it would be cool if you could configure the background color so that the little white triangles won't display when you add the slideshow to a webpage.
Also, It would be cool if the SWF file exported was more standard so I could load the slideshows using actionscript. Not so I could edit the slideshow, just so I could create a flash controller that would load and play the SWF when someone clicks a button on my webpage.
You're doin a great job, everbody's talkin bout it.

Thanks for the compliments!
Yes, the Slideroll SWFs aren't necessarily designed to load into another SWF, although you could try loading them into a level.
Thanks again! Geoff

Shirley,
1. Click "My Slideshows." 2. Click on your slideshow. 3. Click the "Get Code" button. 4. Copy and paste the code on to your web page.
Thanks!

Geoff,
I was trying to figure out a way to let my customers upload their photos and generate a slideshow instantly in my site. Something that goes like that: 1) user upload photos in my site (any given upload UI) 2) slideroll automaticaly reads the photos and publishes a slideshow with them.
The issues involving this implementation would mostly come from XML integration with flash (to keep a list of the photos, i.e. jpeg files in the folder), and maybe you could add some standard effects (like the one you already did in the instant slideshow feature). Adittionaly, the xml file could trace basic configurations for the player (fps, border, width, height... etc).
Well, it's just a suggestion. I'm a developer too and i know how hard is to implement this kind of stuff, so, i just want to know if it's available already and if not, that you can have this change on your radar.
thanks for your attention,
best regards, Paulo

Hello,
I would like to be able to use Slideroll's photo-timeline feature for presenting an interactive historical photo gallery. My client wants a photo timeline showing the progression of his company through the past 20 years.
Is there a way to A) Edit the upload date of a photo so it would display as if it were taken at an earlier date, e.g. May 1989?
B) Embed the photo timeline on my client's site?
Thanks, Adam

Quirk,
That's a cool idea - unfortunately the system is not set up to edit dates. Also, you must be logged in for the timeline to show your photos. If you embedded it, it would show the demo photos.
You could create a slideshow and add text slides for important dates within it... I know that's not quite the same but it's the best I can do!
Thanks! Geoff

One Feature Request for Slideroll A/V Gallery...
Full-Screen Photo Capability.
Click the Thumbnail to bring up a larger image, click the larger image to bring it up full-screen. Is that something that might be doable?
Absolutely love the program - but customers have gotten back to me saying photo's are too small on the screen and they'd like to see them bigger.
Thanks!
Josh

Sorry, you can't.
If you want to use your own music, try using the Video Creator. (Download link on home page)

If you are seeing the "Make a free slideshow" link, you can remove that from your page's HTML.
Thanks! Geoff

Hiya!
Cool product here.
However, I'd like to add a couple feature requests: 1) Allow me to make a slideshow taller than 480 pixels. 2) Allow me to overlay a menu (text, where each line points to a different link). Extra points if the foreground colour and shadow colour of the text is configurable, and the background colour is transparent, so that I can put a menu in front of the slideshow. 3) Once a movie is published, the download feature isn't working for some reason for me (firefox 2.0.0.12, XP SP2, patched relatively recently, flash plugin 9.0 r115, two screens on a 8800GTX video card, plenty of RAM/hard drive). The button is there, but nothing happens when I click on it. (The browser doesn't spin, it doesn't update any web pages, or anything).
Thanks!
-Ken

Ken,
Thanks for the feature requests. As for the bug, that is serious. Unfortunately I'm having trouble reproducing it. What is the name of your slideshow?
When you click on the "Download Slideshow" button, it should take you to a second page with another button labeled "Download Flash slideshow" (cumbersome, I know). Do you see that page?
If you do, and you click that button, the download in Firefox will appear in the Downloads window, which may be obscured by your main browser window.
Let me know if you got to that page and we can continue to troubleshoot.
Thanks! Geoff

Hi!
You need to be a Pro member. If you have subscribed to Slideroll Pro a button labeled "Download Slideshow" will appear below your slideshow on the slideshow page.
Thanks! Geoff

Hi Geoff,
Oh, it was a loose nut behind the keyboard, apparently. I'm sure you were right that the resulting window was obscured, because I've been able to operate the downloads ever since just fine.
Thanks for your prompt attention!
ggaudrea, I became a pro member almost immediately upon finding slideroll. It's just too cool and quick...and saves me from having to learn Flash myself.

Geoff, I have the Gallery AV and I would LOVE it if I could make the title more than one line. It would also be great if it would accept HTML so that I can create a link back to my website also. Thanks! -Ceci
