Eight diocesan lay and clergy deputies and an alternate from congregations across the Diocese of Kentucky joined thousands of other church leaders for the Episcopal Church's General Convention, meeting in Columbus, Ohio, June 12-21. This triennial meeting is particularly noteworthy for our diocese because Bishop Ted Gulick is among seven bishops nominated to lead the church for the next nine years as its presiding bishop. Deputies are the Rev. Pat Connell, rector of Trinity Church, Owensboro; Sam Dorr, Christ Church Cathedral, Louisville; Lana Goodwin, Holy Trinity Church, Brandenburg; the Rev. Mark Linder, rector of Christ Church, Bowling Green; Maggie Miller (alternate deputy), St. Peter's Church, Louisville; Gwen O'Dea, St. Mark's Church, Louisville; Debbi Rodahaffer, St. Matthew's Church, Louisville; the Very Rev. David Simmons, dean of the Four Rivers Deanery and vicar, St.John's Church, Murray; and the Rev. Libby Wade, rector of Grace Church, Paducah, and chair of the deputation.
