[edit] History Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School is 202 years old, built in 1806 the school has lasted through a lot such as the earthquake in 1944, which destroyed the middle of the building and that had to be demolished. In 2002, the school's grade 9 and 10 population moved to St. Lawrence and General Vanier while grades 11 and 12 from those schools were subsequently moved to CCVS in an effort to cut costs. The result is CCVS becoming more like a CEGEP in Quebec. In 2006 the bicentennial attracted over 1500 former students back to the school.
