Dear Slideroll,
after some confusion I have discovered that Safari won't display the slideshows on my website, though Firefox will. My site is www.annahepler.com. Is this a known problem? Is there a known solution?

Many thanks,
anna

I checked out your site (beautiful work, by the way) and it seems you've added the Slideroll code via a Google Gadget.

I recommend using the standard slideshow code.  Just log in, click "My Slideshows" then click on your slideshow.  Under the slideshow click the button labeled "Embed >>" and then copy the standard slideshow code, then paste that into your site.

Thanks!
Geoff

Thanks Geoff,

Because my website is a Google site, I'm not sure it is possible to embed the slideroll slide show without the Google gadget. When I try to erase the Gadget it reappears as soon as I embed the standard code. Do you have any experience with this?
Many thanks, anna

Hi again!

I created a new feature under the slideshow embed options.  You can now add a custom Slideroll Google Gadget for your slideshow.  Simply do the following:

1. Log in and click "My Slideshows"
2. Click on your slideshow to go to your slideshow page.
3. Under your slideshow, click "Embed >>"
4. Copy the Google Gadget URL.

Next, you need to place the gadget into your site:

1. Go to your site in Google Sites.
2. Find your page and click "Edit Page"
3. Go to the "Insert" menu at the top left.
4. Choose "More gadgets..."
5. Click "Add gadget by URL" and paste the Google Gadget URL you copied from Slideroll.com
6. Click "Add" and you'll see options for size, border, and title.
7. Click "OK" and you are done!

Thanks!

Thanks again Geoff,
Your gadget is working (yay) with a few issues:
1. The size of the gadget window is not corresponding with the slideroll slide show. In other words, only a portion of the slideshow image is visible, though both are set at 620x440.
2. The scroll bar that allows viewers to jump ahead in the image sequence is also not visible. If you go to my website, www.annahepler.com, you can see the home page altered using your gadget, but the 2D page unaltered and functioning with the original Google gadget.

as always, your help is most appreciated.
thanks, anna

Ah.. okay, I think it's fixed now.. I fixed the scaling bug and tested it here.

It looks like you'll need to remove the broken gadget and add it again. Sorry about that!

Much better, but the right hand side of the imagery continues to be cut off. I also don't see the scroll bar, but maybe it will appear when I embed the gadget on my site? Let me know if the size can be finessed further.

Thanks again for your on-going help.
