I've played with Slideroll for 2 days straight. I'm trying to decide if it's the right fit for me and my business. I've uploaded 58 pictures to my gallery. I then downloaded the video maker. Went through the steps, uploaded to my website and Youtube, and it starts just fine. The music works and the pictures are there. Midway through the video, it's black. half of my photos aren't there. Then it picks up again towards the end.
I've tried every possible method to stop it, from not stretching the video to match the song, to trying to make the slideshow last longer to stretch it. It's the same however I do it. It's just not working...

I read the forum, turned off my power saver, screen saver, sat here for another 20 minutes while my video loaded... It "embedded" for another 5 then I get a familiar pop-up saying, "The embedding is taking longer than normal, there may be a problem with your video." ... I really wanted to use this service. I gave it my best shot. Two days is too long for me.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Some people have had problems with the video creator. If you encode a very long video (more than 3 or 4 minutes) it can take a long time to encode.
Your video probably went blank in the middle due to a screensaver or power saver turning on.
It's too bad it didn't work for you - fortunately you can test out all of these features for free!

It was a 2:14 video. I said above that I made sure my screen saver/power saver was turned off. And yes, it's free, but my time isn't. Just wanted to let you know about your site's glitches and for anyone else that doesn't have 2 days to waste trying it out... Especially before paying for it. Thanks for the help!

It's a frustrating issue - one that I have not been able to replicate on 6 different system configurations.
It's actually due to a memory leak in the parent software used to create the Video Creator, so it's nearly impossible for me to fix. I've had to resort to workarounds. Thanks for reporting this as I have not heard of anyone having a problem with such a short video.

Also ... with this message board, you can't click on text to fix anything. It highlights all and deletes if you type. You have to submit and then go back and edit. (original posts only) editing works when you're in edit mode.
