Hi. I have now downloaded the Latest Version is 0.91b of Gallery AV again after deleting the last versions on my computer. My PC uses Windows Vista.
Can you please send me a step-by-step instruction of how to make a Gallery AV on Slideroll. I have bought your services for over a year now, but still not able to find out about it or make it work.
I need to know how to make it work, how to add photos to it and where to find the HTML.
**** When I try to load photos to the Slideroll Gallery AV from my PC it find no photos, even if I have several in the folder. Therefore I cannot drag and drop my photos to the Gallery.
I want to create a Gallery AV like the one you have made as an example and to get the html and then embed it in my blog.
Please e-mail me about this. I really hope to solve this problem now and make an Slideroll Gallery AV.

Hi!
To make a gallery, simply drag and drop photos onto the creator. The photos must be in JPEG format. Have you tried dragging and dropping a JPEG photo onto Gallery AV?
It is possible that drag and drop is not working correctly with Vista. Several users have mentioned this. It has to do with the development software used to make Gallery AV, called Zinc. I've contacted their support department but they are unable to replicate the problem.
If you cannot get drag and drop working with Vista, let me know and I will give you a full refund.
Thanks! Geoff

Thank you. At last it worked. Next question: Where do I find the HTML for the gallery that I saved? I made the first gallery private. If it needs to be public to get the HTML, how do I make it public?

I just tried to follow instructions on the following site to embed the Gallery AV to my blog:
Publishing help https://slideroll.com/publishing-help.php
The only picture that came up was a grey square. First I added the URL to my blog, not to the specific blog post. Then I am not sure about the following -
Upload URL:
Here I added the URL of my gallery at Slideroll. Besides the grey square I got a message that the HTML was not closed therefore the code was not accepted. I wish there was a simpler way to develop the HTML code. And a code that works. Clearly I need some good advices. :-)

Publishing Help is designed for you to adjust your gallery embed tags after you've uploaded your gallery to your own site via FTP. First, upload your gallery to your own web site, then use Publishing Help to create the proper object/embed codes.
I'm not sure what program gave you the error message about your HTML not being closed. It certainly wasn't Gallery AV because it does not check the HTML for validity. I'll double-check the Publishing Help code, but it should be fine.

The Slideroll.com Gallery AV is awesome.
However, I really need a step-by-step instruction to develop a HTML code to get the Gallery pasted into my blog. I use www.blogspot.com
Please tell me what File Transfer Protocol FTP is in a concrete way. Where do I find it, and the whats and hows I need to know?
My idea is that the Gallery should be simple to use. Your slideshows are working very well. A simple cut-paste-code that comes with each gallery would work best.
So what do I do, step by step:
1) A specific test Gallery is developed with the URL:
https://slideroll.com/galleries/membe ... g=b9x5brmt
2) What do I do next? 3) And next 4) And next 5) And next 6) How do I use Publishing help https://slideroll.com/publishing-help.php 7) Where do I find the URLs do I need to add in the publishing help site?
8) What steps do I need to take to get a code that works and makes the Gallery show up in my blogspot.com blog?
Thanks:)

Hi!
All great questions. The problem is that you are uploading to Slideroll and then trying to embed the gallery in your blog, which is not supported.
There's a blue link on the upload screen that reads something like "FTP to my own site." You can then upload your gallery to your own web site using the FTP protocol. Publishing Help is a tool that helps you format your embed code to then embed the uploaded gallery into a new page. The problem is, if you are using Blogspot and do not have your own hosting, you can't use FTP.
Slideroll Gallery AV was originally geared towards people who have their own web sites and hosting who want to create a clean, interactive gallery for their site. I added Slideroll hosting for people who still want to have a gallery but don't have a web site.
Unfortunately there's no way currently to embed a gallery uploaded to Slideroll in another page on another site yet. I plan on creating that functionality soon.
Thanks! Geoff

Hi Geoff. That means that it is impossible to embed the Gallery AV to my blog for the time being?
Please develop Gallery AV HTML code for blogs, such as www.blogspot.com
There are ways of making such simple-to-use code systems, such as for instance on slide.com Hopefully many others and I will be able to embed Gallery AV to our blogspot blogs very soon.
Thanks:)

I am looking forward to use it. Are these features included in the Gallery AV 0.92b version?
Please send a message when you have finished it.

I am trying to upload a gallery to my website front page. I am pretty much computer retarded. What is FTP? What do I need to fill in on the blanks after I click on that FTP button thing. I have a total headache from trying to get the gallery on my website. When I click on the FTP to own site thingie, it says that it's loading for EVER which makes me think I'm screwing it up. When I tried the publishing help, all I got was a gray square. Then I decided I preferred a white background so that all it loaded was a white square (which is invisible on the white background). I deleted the code from my website. But I am at a loss as to what I am supposed to do. I'm hoping you can help. Thanks

Do you have your own web site? If so, you should have gotten FTP (File Transfer Protocol) access to upload files.
If not, you can simply upload to Slideroll. However, embedding on another page from the Slideroll upload is not yet supported.

Yes. www.glassaddictions.com
It's a WYSIWYG kind of thing. I looked at my paperwork to see if I have this FTP thing. I see it. I am supposed to enter that info into the blanks of the upload? I will try again.

I can't figure it out. I need to email the host (Pappashop). In the meantime, I did a slideshow. You can see it on my FP www.glassaddictions.com I think once I figure out the gallery feature, I will use it on my gallery page of sold work. I have no control of where the photos end up on my current gallery set-up and it's frustrating.

"The galleries that are exported are designed to work at almost any size, so you can embed the slideshow in a blog page or within an HTML table on a more complex page"
I still have not been able to figure out about how to embed my Slideroll photo galleries to a Blogspot blog. Can you please provide step-by-step instructions about how to embed the photo gallery in HTML within a blog? Not the slideshow, but the photo-galleries.

Sure!
Step 1: Upload your gallery to your own site via FTP. Step 2: Use the Publishing Help page to create your embed code. (Link below)
If you don't have your own site with FTP access, I imagine you could sign up for a free web account somewhere.
Thanks! Geoff
