I am dragging JPG photos onto the Create tab and though Slideroll says that it is "Importing x-number of files" and I can see that the files are loading, there are no thumbnails and I can't move on to the next step. It is as if the photos I drag and drop just disappear into the void. Any ideas what might be happening?

Unsure. They may be incompatible somehow. Do you see a blank thumbnail, like a gray square with a white border?

Are these photos directly from your digital camera?

These photos are stored on my hard drive. There is no thumbnail, not a blank one. I am thinking just to deleted the application and reinstall. Does this seem like a good move?
I have uploaded photos in the past using the same method and did not have this problem.

Can you try going to the Insert menu and clicking "Add files..." then choosing the files from your hard drive?

I'm not sure if reinstalling the application would work.  What operating system are you running?

Same thing happens. The system looks like the files are being uploaded but no thumbnails appear.

Mac OSX 10.6.8

I have the same operating system. This will only happen if the JPGs cannot be read for some reason. Are you sure they are JPG files?

Try opening one of them in OS X Preview and the click "Save As..." in the File menu at the top. Choose JPG and save it as a new file. Then, try dragging that new file onto Gallery AV. If it works, then we know it's not the application, it's something to do with the files. They may not really be JPGs.

The files were JPG though maybe there is a size limit. The files were quite large. I tried it with smaller image files and it worked.

Hmm... no size limit, although I haven't tested with image sizes above about 3200 pixels wide.
