All,

Slideroll Video Creator has been updated to fix several problems being reported with videos being truncated or stopping in the middle.  This problem is finally fixed in version 0.90b.  Please update your version if you experience this problem.

Thanks!
Geoff

Hi - I'm a pro user and would like to try and create a swf file to run basic rotating slides on my site.  Is this something slideroll can help me with?  As background look at the upper left box on this page: www.sonomacoastsurfshop.com   I want to update with similar but newer slides (different pics) and have the look and behaviour the same.  Can you give me some direction on if I can achieve this? ....before I spend too much time trying figure out.

many thanks,
Jack

Hi!

Yes, you can easily create a slideshow like that, except for the title text that they have... although you could do something similar with a title slide.

Simply use the online slideshow creator to create your slideshow, then embed the slideshow on your site using the embed code given when you publish.

You may also wish to download the slideshow, which would give you a folder of SWF files that you can install on your site.

As a third option, you can use the downloadable software, Slideroll Gallery AV, to create a gallery that auto-plays, like this one does. Gallery AV creates a single SWF file, which is often easier to install on your site.

Thanks for the prompt update!!!  That's encouraging, I'm gonna give Gallery AV a try and go for the single SWF file approach.  That will fit with my current setup.
