Many members have requested the ability to upload their own music to Slideroll to use as a soundtrack for their slideshows. I would love to add this feature, but due to copyright restrictions, I cannot legally add that at this time.
However, I've added the ability for Pro members to add custom soundtracks to their downloaded slideshows. If you wish to add your own custom music or narration, you can do so by following these steps:
1. Create your slideshow and publish it without any music. 2. Download your slideshow. 3. Create an MP3 of your music or narration, and copy it into the slideshow folder that you downloaded. Rename it to "soundtrack.mp3". 4. Play the slideshow HTML file. You should hear your custom soundtrack. 5. Upload the contents of the folder to your own web site.
NOTE: If you previously downloaded this slideshow before today, you may have to 'Save As' your slideshow as a new slideshow and download that one to use this feature.
Use this capability at your own risk. Slideroll cannot be held responsible if you upload copyrighted music to your own website. This is an unsupported feature at this time.
I hope you find this a useful and fun feature!
Best, Geoff
