...it does not REGISTER as such. I keep getting the ' UPGRADE to Pro '.

Hi!
Looks like you are Pro now. Most likely what had occurred was that your Paypal payment was "pending", which happens sometimes if you've paid with funds from a different source other that your Paypal balance. Paypal doesn't send me notice until the payment goes through.
I'll be sure to put a note in the docs about this.
