Hi-

I seem to have trouble making the effects I create look smooth.  In other words, when I pan or zoom, it appears jerky.

Any advice?

Do other slideshows on the site look jerky, too?  Does the slideshow on the Slideroll home page appear jerky? If so, it may be because of the speed of your computer.

Sometimes the slideshows appear jerky if there are only slight movements in a direction.  Here are two suggestions:

1. If you are zooming, don't pan at the same time.  Keep the photo centered and only zoom.

2. If you are panning, hold down SHIFT when you set the out point.  That will constrain your pan to a single orthogonal direction, and create a smoother pan.

Also, if you are publishing the slideshow on your own web page, take out the wmode="transparent" and <param name="wmode" value="transparent"> lines.

Thanks!
Geoff
