To all,
Woo hoo! We've hit the 100,000 member mark! This is great news for Slideroll. Thank you all for making Slideroll such a great service. I'm glad to see so many people are finding it useful.
Let me take this time to tell you a little about the history of this place. Slideroll was started in October, 2004 after 6 months of development by me (and a little advice and help from my friends.) From then on, I've been the sole developer, maintainer, and online help guy.
This site has evolved a lot over the years - it's getting better and better - and yet the core idea has always remained the same. I want to create a platform for everyone and anyone to be able to tell stories online. Storytelling is a dying art, and I hope that this technology will give everyone the tools to share a part of their lives with others.
Thanks again to all. We've got exciting things coming down the bend, so stay tuned. And, I always love to hear your great ideas.
