i want to add my own music, i followed your directions, but cannot make it work, i downloaded the slideshow, saved my mp3 and called it soundtrack.mp3, put it into the folder with the files, click on the html play file the slideshow plays but no music
what am i doing wrong!

Hmmm... I just tested it here on two slideshows and two browsers locally and over a web server, and it seems to work. Perhaps your mp3 is not compatible with Flash. Did you create the mp3 yourself? If you'd like, you can e-mail me the mp3 to slideops at slideroll.com and I'll give it a whirl.
Some MP3s, like ones encoded with variable bit rates are not compatible with Flash.
Also, what is your browser type, and operating system?

thanks! was trying to make a little slideshow to share pics with the family! we had a wonderful time. i highly recommend aruba!

i am not really getting anywhere trying to email you the mp3 file, what happened is that it is a song off itunes, that i was trying to change to an mp3 (song is called sunny aruba)
any ideas?

Hmm... if you got it off of iTunes, then it is most likely an AAC file. In that case, I think it is protected by Digital Rights Management, and you cannot convert it to MP3. Simply changing the filename won't change it, either. It needs to be reencoded. I'll check with the audio experts at my workplace and see if what I'm saying is true.
