All,
This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time, and it's finally done! Now, you have another way to view your slideshows. It's something I am calling "Gallery View". With this view, you can display your slideshows as a collection of thumbnails along with a space for a larger image. Gallery View is interactive (i.e. it doesn't play by itself), so viewers can step through the slideshow at their own pace.
Here's an example:
https://slideroll.com/gallery.php?&s=jhv7emuj
All of the slideshows on Slideroll already work with Gallery View. There's no extra work involved. The publish page will provide links to both versions when you click the "Get Link" button. Also, the alternate view is accessible from "My Slideshows" and for everybody under "Everybody's Slideshows".
Thank you all for helping make Slideroll great!
Best, Geoff

Not yet. I'm making sure this works perfectly, and then I'll port it over to a downloadable option as well. I want to make it perfect first because if you download one with a problem, there's no easy way for me to push a fix to you.
Thanks! Geoff

+1 for Tim's request. This would make it possible to think of slideroll as a presentation solution as well as a slideshow maker, pretty much doubling its usefulness.
Great work!
Andrew.

Hi Geoff, I'd still love see a downloadable version of this, though to be honest I'd love STILL MORE to see a "get code" button appear.
If I were to use Gallery View on my website I could essentially use Slideroll to power my galleries. At the moment I use Oberkampf, which interacts with Flickr to automatically make galleries out of the sets/folders I make on Flickr. This is great, but there's no way to prevent the set of 200 pictures of my nephews eating Christmas dinner from appearing, albeit as a different option on a drop down menu alongside the pictures of my artwok that I really want to be showing. If it's a set, it's in there.
If I could show "Gallery View" on my own pages much as I can currently show my slideshows I could use Slideroll's interface to put together my gallery pages, and host the pictures on Flickr. I'd like that.
Thanks for everything. I'm really loving the "import Flickr pictures" function.

Aesop,
I've added the galleries to the download package. Now, when you download your slideshow, you get both versions to choose from.
Thanks! Geoff

Thanks Geoff, As I've said elsewhere, this, along with the Flickr thing, has really opened up Slideroll for me.
Ta again, Andrew
